About Purple Lab

Purple Lab is a program by Resilience Technologies. It was created to investigate and report threats and the technologies abusing human rights in Africa. 

We do this first by leading critical threat research and investigation, and democratizing access to critical technologies, resources and communities to enable professionals, researchers, institutions and advocacy groups to advance efforts towards protecting freedoms on the continent.

Our mission is to enable protection for at-risk persons and communities in Africa against the impact of surveillance and digital threats by building and democratizing access to expertise, tools, networks and resources.
